Variable Frequency Household Appliance
Application Description
As countries around the world continue to focus on energy conservation, the demand for energy-saving consumer products continues to rise, especially white goods such as refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners. In addition to energy savings, white goods design challenges include size, heat dissipation, reliability, noise and appearance design. Nowadays, IPM modules with significant energy saving, low noise and excellent variable speed performance are more and more widely used in white goods design.
Inverter technology was developed to drive motors for industrial and household appliances with high energy efficiency. This technology puts higher requirements on power devices such as IGBT and FRD, as well as control IC and passive components. Intelligent Power Modules (IPM) pack these components together in high density to drive motors efficiently and meet the requirements of white appliances for low energy consumption, small size, light weight and high reliability.
